- First of all the price is great- which in my book automatically puts it high
- The quality of the vegan leather is good. Nice feel to it- No odor
- The fit is perfect- accounted to for all ports and connections- nothing is blocked or hindered
- The stand and different angles- I have had another case that had similar viewing angles with the stand- it stood up sturdy in two out of the three grooves but would always fall down in the last groove- this case does not- its sturdy in all three- which I feel is quite the accomplishment.
- Has the sleep/wake function- small thing but is a great feature
For all these reasons and how good it is makes this case an elite case- better then the rest out there

The Best iPad Case

I finally bought an iPad 3 and needed the right case for it. I wanted a case that would protect the entire iPad - both front and back. It had to provide an angle for watching movies, a good sturdy typing position, and look good in meetings at work. Turns out, that was a tall order. Oh, and my wife wanted a case for her iPad that did all that and came in red, her favorite color. We looked at every case we could find in person at our local Best Buy, Target, Office Depot, Brookstone, and Fry's stores. Neither of us liked the function, fit, or cost of the Apple products. That was a bit of a disappointment since we are big fans of Apple products. We also read all the online reviews and looked at dozens of you tube videos. No case seemed to do everything we wanted, until we found the new Devicewear Ridge. It seemed like just what we were looking for and was a great price to boot. And we couldn't find a bad review. So we took a chance and ordered two cases - one red and one black.
The cases came right away and were well packed. Wow! They are beautiful and look great. Not sure what vegan leather is, but it's a really good copy of the real thing. Looks good, has a very luxiorious feel, and provides a good grip. The cases fit the iPad 3 perfectly. The typing position is just right and rock solid. The video angle is adjustable (that is more handy than you would think) and just as solid. And, unlike most other cases, the soft stuff that protects the screen never touches the table. The sleep and wake function works great too. I read a lot using the Kindle app and have never had a problem with the cover folded over putting the iPad to sleep. Bottom line is that the cases exceeded every expectation we had for them and were a real bargain as a bonus.
But wait, there's more. A few days after the cases arrived we got an email from Scott at Devicewear checking to make sure we were pleased with our purchases. I ignored it, but the vegan leather on my black case started separating a couple of days later. So I had the chance to check on Devicewear's customer service. I emailed Scott back and had an answer the next morning. He apologized for the problem and promised to ship out a replacement case right away. It came in 3 days and is perfect.
In summary, the case may well be the best iPad 3 case available, functions just like we wanted, looks great, and was very affordable. Oh, and don't forget the great customer service. We are very happy customers.

Excellent iPad case!

I did a lot of research before settling on this case. I'm new to Apple products so I didn't really have much information coming in. I talked to a number of friends who had iPads to see what cases they had purchased. None of them were super happy with theirs. After purchasing The Ridge by Devicewear, I'm happy to say it was the right decision. Here are some features that I noticed:
1. The case is very durable. It has a hard plastic back and reinforced synthetic leather front to protect your entire iPad. I noticed with some cases you had to purchase the front and back separate.
2. It looks great. It doesn't add much thickness to your iPad and it also looks very professional. It's smaller than a typical notebook you would take to meetings.
3. It's very functional. There are literally 7-8 different configurations you can use to view your iPad with this case. From completely flat to standing up nearly vertical, the case will support any situation in which you want to use your device. Of course, it also has magnets to put your device on standby when closing the case.
4. It's affordable. I didn't want to spend $100 on a designer case or something "official" from the Apple store. I didn't really even want to spend $50. I can't believe Amazon has this case for ~$35. It's really a bargain.
5. Great customer service. Devicewear reached out to me directly to make sure I was happy with the case. Was not expecting this especially for a lower cost item.
