Best Slim Case on the market for the iPad Mini

I am extremely picky when it comes to cases for my iPad Mini. I wanted something that didn't add much more bulk to the Mini's form factor, while at the same time providing protection and looks. The Jisoncase Vintage Genuine Leather Smart Cover Case delivered across the board.
The Jisoncase provides a sturdy tray-like backing for the iPad Mini that forms perfectly around all three sides while leaving the tiny speakers and lighting port accessible. The tray is firm and hard backed, providing protection for the iPad Mini's back and sides.
The Smart Cover is very similar to the Apple Smart Cover, though not removable. The cover is scored to allow it to fold like the Apple Cover and provide a slightly elevated viewing angle. The underside of the leather front cover is lined with a felt-like material that lines the entire tray as well.
The build quality including the edges, camera and headphone holes as well as the spine, appear to be superb. I have used the Jisoncase for a month already and other than normal aging on the leather, I haven't noticed any quality issues.
Finally, and most importantly the Vintage Leather finish on the JisonCase is beautiful. It's soft and supple and is aging perfectly, like a nice wallet or portfolio. As far as I am concerned, there isn't another Smart Cover type case on the market that provides elegance and protection is form-factor that barely adds to the thickness and bulk of the slim iPad Mini.

It fits!

Despite two unanswered emails to the manufacturer, I decided to take a gamble and order this case. There was a question if the new iPad mini with retina display would fit in this case. The new mini is slightly (.33mm) thicker than the first generation model. I am very happy to report that it fits perfectly. Nice and tight. Very pleased with this case.
