Great Product, terrible packaging

I searched quite a while to find the 'right' case for my Ipad and this is it. Materials are first class suede and leather and I love it. However, I was extremely disappointed with the packaging the product was shipped with. This case was enclosed in some kind of shrinkwrapped plastic with a contact glue-like substance stuck directly to the leather. I am still rubbing the glue of the outside of the case.

One of the sweetest, well made items I own (and I have a lot of rad stuff.)

So I thought the packaging that it came with was simple, I did not have anything stuck to it at all, it came in a perfect condition. When paying the price I paid I expected alot... and wow, this thing is amazing, the care it must have taken to produce a product that hugs the iPad 2 so well and meets the level of the iPad's "quality" It does turn off and turn on like Apple's Smart cover, and the interior black is almost as cool as the Vintage outside. I'm going to hope Apple's form factor doesn't change for iPad 3 just so I can reuse this when it does ;)
I can't speak highly enough of this product... the new leather smell is even worth mentioning... this company is clearly under marketed as when I've looked at the other leather items on their site - I want em.

Good, but has problems!

The case has excellent build quality. It has nice leather and stitching. It is heavily padded and holds the iPad so well that even if it were to fall on a hard floor, the iPad won't break or anything.
But I had two major problems with it. One, it added a lot of weight to my very light iPad mini. And it looked very bulky. Two, there are flaws with the case. The iPad mini has very thin borders (3-4mm) on the sides if you are holding it in a portrait mode. The inside lining which holds the iPad in its place covers the entire border from the sides so much so that it even blocks the screen to some extent. It becomes more noticeable when you are watching the screen at an angle. The biggest irritant was that I could not call the Control Center when watching something in landscape mode. It requires you to slide your finger across the edge of the screen and since it is covered by this internal lining, it is impossible to get to the Control Center when you are watching a movie or a video and you want to quickly adjust the brightness or volume, etc. Also there is no cutout for the home button. The home button gets about 1/4th covered by the lining and it becomes difficult to press it if you have big fingers like mine.
I called Customer Service and they promptly sent me a return shipping label. This case is going back!
