Quality Leather Case

This Smart Case is snug fitting and cover design also folds up and acts like a stand to the Mini Ipad. I really like the fit and feel of the case. Apple did a good job on this leather case. The cover is quality made and really looks sharp. Yes the smart magnetic latch is also a nice feature. There are magnets in the flaps that allow the flaps to be folded into triangles such that the magnets bond with the case or back of iPad to make a firm stand. The stand can be used in two different viewing angles.

With this case I am not worried about the iPad mini flying out of my hands as it is small and can be hard to hang on to. The front cover flap is a microfiber finish that helps to protect the screen.

The cover is expensive but it you want leather it's going to cost more. The fit and finish of the case is what you come to expect of Apple products, I didn't want to put my expensive iPad mini in a crappy case. It looks nice, and feels nice.

Nice looking case. Accessories were low end.

Overall nice looking and different from all the other iPad2 cases out there. Be aware: the film protector that comes with it is sub par. Found it nearly impossible to remove the air bubbles even with the squeegie they include (it's just heavy card stock paper size of a biz card) I just scrapped it because of the frustration level and it was inhibiting touch sensitivity. Also: the two plastic stands that come with it are made of very cheap plastic. Both broke the first time trying to open the stand, very cheap materials, don't bother with the stands. Also: the ear bud protector and the power port protectors that come with it do not fit at all. Besides the pieces are so small it's just not worth the time and effort to cover up the earphone jack nor the power port, can't imagine trying to keep such little plastic pieces around. Just wouldn't be worth it. So.... If you like just the aesthetic of the case and not concerned about the extras, it's very sturdy and cool looking. Once opened it has a nice grip to it.

Nice ipad case!

This hard shell ipad case is attractive and does a very good job of protecting the ipad when carelessness occurs.

It comes with one of those thin, sticky overlays that's a real PITA to put on successfully. So far I haven't regretted throwing it in the garbage.

One star is removed for the stands. It's a separate piece that you have to assemble properly or a small plastic piece will break easily, making the stand worthless. I wouldn't trust my ipad in the hands of a plastic part that's half a mm in size, anyway.

Only one star is removed because I don't really need a stand.

Great looking hard shell, though, with the cutouts perfect for the ipad2.

I've been through many cases, and the Switcheasy is by far the best I have purchased. The built in on/off function works great. I've been asked several times "where did you get that case". Super slim and adds zero bulk to your iPad2.

LUV my Luvvitt Backlit keyboard!

I bought this for a friend who was struggling with the on-screen keyboard on her iPad mini, after seeing and playing with the Logitech unit in the Apple store. Reviews said the Logitech unit was sturdier (Aluminum vs. Plastic case, but I didn't think that was too important, and I really like the backlit keyboard of this unit.

I thought I was used to the horrible on-screen non-keyboard of these tablets and smartphones, but after I bought one of these for my friend, I realized that having actual cursor keys and not taking up 1/2 the screen with the non-keyboard made this very useful and since the keyboard acts as a cover, it still fits fine in my purse and doesn't add too much weight or bulk to the iPad mini. I bought one for myself, and I use it more than half of the time I use my tablet. Good stuff! Too bad they don't charge with a lightning cable, though. Battery life seems great, even with the backlight on, too.

Great iPad Mini Keyboard!!

This backlit keyboard is great. The magnetic hinge is like the hinge on a smart cover but when opened, the iPad and keyboard lay flat and the iPad cannot be raised up like a laptop would be. In order to achieve this the iPad has to be inserted into a channel on the keyboard but this does not leave much room for a back cover for the iPad and I am not a fan of skins. So, I wanted to be able to have the ipad upright while typing and this hinge does not allow for that. So, I purchased an iPad Mini back cover with a kickstand but the cover did not have a cutout for the hing on the keyboard and it had to be attached to the ipad in the direction that was oppopsite to what would be needed to use the kickstand AND have it attach to the hinge. So, I put the cover on going in the direction that I needed and marked the slots and port holes that accomodate the hinge and the other cutouts for the camera, on/off button,etc and cut them out with a dremel and drill. Now, the iPad Mini attaches to the keyboard at the magnetic hinge and has a sturdy back cover with a kickstand that allows it to remain upright like a laptop. The kickstand snaps back to lay flat on the cover when not in use. It was worth the effort because the backlit keyboard is so far superior to others that are available. It's easy to do. Good luck.
