Best iPad accessory I've ever had
By Terry
I wasn't expecting much more than a lap pillow when I chose this iPad Tri-Lounge Case, but my iPad gets hot in my lap and it's a pain to hold it with one hand while playing games with the other so I was happy to give it a try.
I am extremely impressed with the clever design and thoughtful execution. This is a wedge-shaped pillow that is covered in a thick, grey knit fabric. On each of the three sides, there is a rigid, leather-like textured base with elastic corners to hold your iPad snugly on the pillow. It is beautifully finished with perfect stitching and exceptional materials.
Each of the 3 sides gives you a different viewing angle and one side lets you use your iPad in landscape OR portrait mode for hands-free FaceTime. There is also a zippered pouch on one side for accessories such as charging cable, head phones, etc. On the other side, there is an opening that lets your store your iPad inside the pillow for safe, easy transport or storage. The inner storage pouch is lined with a soft, plush fabric so it won't scratch your tablet and has a secure, velcro tab closure so it won't fall out. There is even a loop on the side to keep a stylus handy!
You can't easily access all of the ports when your iPad is fitted into the elastic straps, but you can access the volume rocker and the charging port depending upon which way you fit it into the elastic straps.
NOTE: Domeo cautions against charging your iPad while it is stored in the interior pouch because of heat build-up.
My iPad is in use all day long and I'm delighted with how this pillow makes using it even more convenient. It's perfect for laying in bed and reading an e-book or playing a game or just surfing the net. It's also exceptional for letting more than one person watch a movie or video together. I use it in the kitchen for holding my iPad at the perfect angle to see the recipe I've pulled up. My kids love it, too, for use when playing games.
I think this would make a wonderful gift for someone with an iPad gen 2 or 3.
The price, at almost $60 at this writing, seemed a little steep but after seeing how well it is made and how functional the design is, I think the price is not unreasonable.

TYPING, TYPING, TYPING!!
By Mandy Payne
***Update***Unfortunately, I have to update my previous five star review. After having used this for a couple of weeks, the elastic in my favorite position has already lost its grip on the iPad. I am using an iPad 2, nothing else. So the elastic should not be overtaxed. However, it doesn't hold the top corners in place anymore. The elastic is barely holding them now. It may be in part because now the bottom elastic is sagging so much that it covers the bottom of the actual touch screen, which allows less of the top corners to be under the elastic. The bottom sag is a real problem as now I have to pull the elastic out of the way to get to any stuff I need to touch down there. The typing feature I once loved is severely impeded by the elastic on the bottom. See the customer image I posted of the elastic on the upper corners.
I am really bummed out about this update because as you can read from my original review, I loved this product. I am still using it, but I don't see it lasting much longer as each side has the same elastic and if my favorite position was any indication....would have been worth the money if it held up. However, $70 is an awful lot to pay for something that wears out in a few weeks.
Original Review:
Yeah, this is a bit pricey. But now that I have it, I LOVE it. If I knew about this, I would have purchased it for the huge improvement in comfort while typing alone. Fortunately, I was offered the opportunity to test this through Amazon.
I use my iPad everywhere, and especially in bed. I almost never watch a regular TV anymore. Watching videos on this in bed is a dream. I have, until now, used one of those covers that props the iPad up in three angles. (I will continue to use that when I carry the iPad to a meeting simply because this is too bulky and awkward to carry around much) The folding cover tips over easily, especially on the soft mattress that offers uneven support. This sits up very securely, with very little tipping. I will say that on the straight up position the iPad makes this a little front heavy and it rocks a little and will tip forward with very little bumping...I just put something small, maybe the corner of the blanket or my cell phone, under the front edge and that problem is solved. The other positions seem rock solid. Switching the iPad from case to case, or position to position in this case does play rough with your screen protector edges. I learned and am now very careful. Also, I put the iPad in and then picked this up and shook it. It holds the iPad very securely in two of the three slips. The third has only a bottom support, so obviously I wouldn't try the shake test on that one.
It is a bit odd shaped for carrying around on a regular day out and about. However, for the house, this is PERFECT. It also works well in the car...not that you should use the iPad while driving, but if you must, this sits the ipad in a stable position on the passengers seat so you can angle it to maximize the few seconds you have to glance at your iPad while at a traffic light. In bed, this thing is awesome.
Typing on this is SO much nicer than the folding cover. The folding cover i normally use really irritated my wrists when typing and none of the angles were great. The angle with this is great for typing on your lap, in bed or on a desk. If you want it for any of those things, you won't be disappointed. The improved typing ability is absolutely my favorite thing about this cover.
$70 seems a bit high. However, this is a very unique stand/case. I would say that it is very well made and worth the expense. If I have a complaint at all, it is that there is no handle. It would be easier to carry, especially with the awkward shape, with a handle of some type. It is not a huge complaint, but it seems like an oversight. If they put a handle under the front of the straight up position, it could serve as the tiny bit of added lift in the front to correct the front-heavy, slight tipping issue.
Below is an off-label use for this groovy pillow that I discovered by accident. I figured I would share this for those of you who travel a lot like I do:
I knew I had a long flight so I thought I wanted to bring this cover for typing. The iPad fits snugly inside of the lounge case, so why not? It is a little awkward to carry, but fits ok inside of my big over-shoulder bag. Anyway this made an unexpected great travel pillow. Taking off on the plane is when I really want to fall asleep but can never seem to get comfortable and either flop my head around or end up laying on some unfortunate passenger's shoulder. This case served me well, small enough to keep in my lap and firm enough to provide support and angled enough to be able to lean forward on it and be comfortable...as comfortable as you can expect in coach center seats.

Kinda Cool... But Won't Be for Everyone
By Pam T
This is a product that is not going to be for everyone. I say that because the Tri-Lounge is HUGE. So if you are looking for something portable, this would be a bad choice.
The Tri-Lounge WOULD work for someone who streams videos and wants a comfy platform. But let me back up for a moment and tell you what this thing is like. I guess I'd describe it as a big triangular pillow. One side holds the iPad, while the two sides have rubber mats, which smell a bit but which will keep the Tri-Lounge from sliding around. The two short sides have zippered slits for holding things, including the iPad.
What we really LIKE about the holder is that it makes watching video a real pleasure. My kids watch it on their laps, while my husband and I tend to prop it up on a counter or table top. (Yes! Viewing cooking excerpts next to the stove!) And it works in both these modes because the triangle shape is not an Isosceles, but is more right angle, so that on the short 'bottom' it faces you directly (like a TV), and on the long 'bottom' it places the iPad at a comfortable angle for viewing from above (like if it was resting on your lap).
What I don't like is the smell. But I assume that will fade. I also wish it had a handle to tote it around. My kids smaller hands have a hard time holding on the 'pillow' and I'm afraid they are going to drop it. A strap at one end would fix that.
Another thing that that concerns me is the cloth exterior. In my house, at least, that cover is going to get greasy and marked up fairly quickly. (The fact that the gray color already looks dirty won't help me to view it as clean.) So next time I go to the Grocery store, I'm plan to pick up some ScotchGard.
Not at all convinced the Price Point is good. I do think you should consider the Tri-Lound if you want a comfy way to watch any kind of video. We are using it daily.
