Belkin QODE Slim Style Keyboard Case for Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1'' (Black / Black) / Slim Style Review
Google has recently released a new OS update which has made Bluetooth keyboards nonfunctional with any tablet running Android 4.3. A new patch for the operating system should be released from Google soon, which will restore Bluetooth keyboard functionality. At this time we strongly discourage updating your OS if you intend to use a Bluetooth keyboard with your Android tablet.

Instant Work Station
By JDP
I've been cruising the area's electronic stores for awhile now looking for a combination case/keyboard for my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3. Trust me their are a lot of posers out there crowding up valuable shelf space. That said, it was a no brainer to jump at the opportunity to test drive this Belkin edition. After a little over a week's use these are my thoughts.
Out of the box, this baby looks impressive. Measuring in at 0.8" x 8.5" x 11.4" it easily accommodates my Tab3. The outer shell is better then most and will provide a good degree of protection. Connecting was quick and easy. Not only did this case/keyboard marry up with my Tab 3, it also connected with several other tron devices nearby. I like the overall weight and feel. The stand feature is one of the few out there that works as advertised. I was able to set it up at different angles. It converts easily for handheld mode.
The keyboard was better then I thought it was. The keys were fluid and not as sticky or sensitive. By no means are they as tiny as I've seen with the cheap knockoffs. The shortcut key menu is sweet and allows me to regulate volume as well as copy and paste text at will. Maybe it was me but it does seem that my typing was a bit faster then usual. I found it very comfortable to type. Fully charged I got about 70 hours before it was time to hit the juice. Charging up via the included USB cable took only a couple of hours.
Overall I really like this Belkin product. With my Tab3 and this combination case and keyboard in the house, its getting very hard to even think about pulling out the laptop. Undoubtedly the company hit this one out of the park.

Great keyboard case - DOES NOT fit 10.1 Note
By Biblioholic Beth
I have been looking for a keyboard that will work with my tablet. In my naivete, I mistakenly thought that a 10.1 Galaxy Tab would be the same size as a 10.1 Galaxy Note (I know, I know - rookie mistake. In my defense, I am a rookie to the tablet world...). Anyway, having realized that my Note will not, in fact, snap into the case, I decided to try it as a keyboard anyway. It works extremely well.
The hookup process was absolutely simple, and remains simple to turn on. While my Note does not snap into the brackets, the stand is easily strong enough to support resting my tablet in order to use the keyboard. I have typed several listings in my Etsy shop this way, as well as various emails and other documents. The keyboard is, of course, a bit smaller and the quote/apostrophe key is down by the keyboard (slightly annoying), but it responds quite well overall. It is sturdy and appears to be well-made.
While I wish the case actually fit my Note, at least all is not lost. I like the fact that I can still use it as the keyboard, which is the main piece that I was looking for anyway. I recommend it!

No, It Won't Fit a Galaxy Tab 2 10.1...
By Terry Sunday
...in case you were wondering, as I was when I decided to order this Belkin Keyboard Case from the Amazon Vine program. Of course, I saw from the description before I ordered it that it was for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1. I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. "Hmm," I thought to myself, "a Tab 3 10.1 has exactly the same screen size as a Tab 2 10.1, so the overall sizes of the two tablets are probably identical." WRONG! While the heights of the two are almost the same, the Tab 3 is 14mm narrower and almost 2mm thinner--more than enough to make my Tab 2 not fit into the case at all. It's my fault entirely. I should have compared the dimensions first, before I placed the order. However, there's a certain urgency to claim Vine items before they display the dreaded "No Longer Available in Vine" message, so I reflexively clicked the "Send Me This Item" button before I researched whether my tab would fit or not. My bad.
With that said, I was a little anxious when I unpacked the keyboard case from its sturdy, well-sealed cardboard sleeve. Even though I knew my Tab 2 would not snap into the mounting flanges on the case, I wondered if I could still pair it with the keyboard via Bluetooth. As it turned out, my concern was entirely unfounded. After charging the keyboard briefly via the included USB cable (no charger outlet plug is included, so I used the one from my tablet), I followed the simple graphical instructions on the setup card to pair it with my tablet. It was a very simple process that involved holding down the "Fn" and "<---> Pair" keys while activating Bluetooth on the tablet. Within a few seconds, "Slim Style Keyboard Case" showed up as a device on my tablet's Bluetooth panel, and I was good to go. I just propped my tablet up against the raised keyboard case lid, fired up the Kingsoft Office app and had a go at it. It works great!
The keys are smaller than those on a full-size keyboard, of course, and they're thin and flat rather than "cupped." But they have a pretty nice tactile feel to them, and there's enough feedback to make it clear when a key is activated. A few keys serve dual or triple functions, accessed by "Fn" and "Alt" keys, and most of them are in the same places you'll find them on a standard keyboard. The apostrophe and quotation mark key is the exception--I had to look for it each time I used it until I got used to the layout. A row of function keys across the top provides the usual tablet Esc, Home and Settings buttons, as well as Search, Cut and Paste, and playback and volume controls. It's a very comprehensive layout from which you can access almost everything you would usually tap the screen for.
Being relatively new to the tablet world, perhaps I am more impressed by this device than a more experienced user might be. Perhaps other options are available that outshine this one. But from my standpoint, the Belkin Slim-Style Keyboard Case is outstanding. It has greatly improved the usability of my Galaxy Tab 2, even though it wasn't made for it, and has eliminated almost every disadvantage and frustration of using the tablet for text-heavy applications. I recommend it most highly to tablet users, even if your tablet won't exactly fit into the mounting flanges, as mine doesn't. That's no problem--it still works great.
