Almost the perfect keyboard case
By P. G. Woodhouse
Overall, this thing is great, and may well become my daily all-the-time iPad case.
I originally purchased this to accompany me on an international vacation where I wouldn't have space for a laptop, but wanted a journal, and being in high tech, my finger muscles have atrophied to the point where I can barely write legibly with (shudder) pen and paper anymore, let alone for any length of time. So I was looking for small, light and functional. Logitech nailed it...almost.
First, the good stuff.
- Size & weight: It's incredibly light, barely adding to the weight of the bare device. It does add some size - roughly doubling the thickness of the iPad, but then I've had some folio cases (particularly the leather ones) which are thicker, so it's pretty impressive.
- Typing ability: Logitech really put some thought into the design of this thing. The standard keys are normal-ish sized, and most of the peripheral keys are half size. It feels a lot like a slightly smaller regular keyboard . The keys have a good throw and a satisfying click. I'm typing this review on it. Most of the keys are in a natural place, and my fingers can operate quite well on muscle memory. The biggest frustration is the apostrophe, which is half sized and I regularly miss it and hit the return key.
- Design: it looks great - nice soft rubberized feel and a good grip on the iPad itself. On eof my favorite features is the way you can lay the iPad down flat over the keyboard for browsing and then just move it back for typing. I use that a lot for email - flipping it up when I need to write a longer message.
Not so good:
- Stability: In the first few days of using it, when the iPad was in the typing position, it would bounce around. I think this is a function of the weight and I'd rather have a lighter device and put up with a little jitter. This can be offset by using a good solid surface (i.e., not an airplane table) and a few days practice.
- Positions: The lie flat position is OK, but for browsing or watching videos, it really need a third position about halfway between full up and full down. I find myself propping it up on my iPhone to make it easier to read. This is really apparent when there's overhead light, and the completely flat position just reflects the light back at you making the thing unreadable.
We'll see what happens when I get back from my trip, but right now this has an excellent chance of becoming my daily use iPad case. It's a really nice product.

So far, so good...

Bought this to replace the Airbender case. Don't quite like the flat rubber finish, but I do like the size of the keyboard and how the iPad fits in the case. The magnets that hold the case closed are nice and strong. I do agree with some other reviewers that it won't provide complete protection for your mini; not as much as the Airbender. But I do like the simple folio design and ease of use.

Works well and is sleek!!

Great fit, easy to pair, and looks fantastic. Battery life is great as well. If I turn the keyboard off and then back on it pairs automatically!
Awesome product.
