Great for school Average for travel
By LonghornTech
Case Logic BEBP-115 Backpack
Pros:
High quality Nylon/Polyester
Lots of well placed pockets:
-Small *phone* pocket on top has nice felt interior
-Smugglers pocket *in bottom of back support* is a nice touch (used for airline tickets)
-Zippers on sides are great for things besides bottles but also keep bottles from moving
-- Mesh within side pockets help adjust to different sized bottles
Vanishing pocket in front is ideal for wallet, keys, etc
Handle on top and bottom (for storing in overhead compartment) seems very well made
Laptop and tablet pockets are well padded (NO problems with bottom padding)
Mesh pockets within other pockets are good for storing small things safely
Great for all types of electronics
Overall design is pleasing NOTE: blue accents on front of bag are little rubber strands
Back/lumbar padding is very generous
No problems with heating on back
Arm straps go all the way across the top and behind neck for added support
Chest strap is great addition
Main compartment could fit at least 3 large textbooks or several books, notebooks, folders
Small front pocket has a number of pockets for pens/pencils, notecards, etc. Even has pocket for individual pen (great for fountain pen or high end pen)
Velcro helps keep adjustment straps from dangling in front of you
Cons:
EDIT*** The shoulder straps (as some others have stated) are TOO WIDE. I'm a college male with fairly wide shoulders and while the bag has never slipped off my shoulders, the width gives it the feeling of outward movement. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR FEMALES WHO DO NOT HAVE BROAD SHOULDERS
Zippers could be better. Not bad, but not as good as Swissgear Synergy (best zippers I've ever felt)
- Only laptop pocket zipper is large, others are small
Over filled pockets will cut in to space of others. Clarify: If main pocket is bulging outward it will cut in to the space of the smaller pocket in front of it and make it hard to put pens or other peripheral in.
Not Great for travel:
Bag does not have much outward "give" and therefore not much space for clothing or other things
^^^see above about over filling pockets
Lots of pockets could have you searching for item for a while.
***Small "nitpicks"
- The individual pen/pencil holder does not have a cover over it so if bag is upside down it could slide out
- The vanishing pocket closes when zipped up so you have to make sure that you do in fact zip it all the way up (easier to zip all the way down) I believe they did this so nothing falls out if not zipped all the way up.
Additional information:
The bag is rather light, but since Case Logic's other bags are lighter and have the same pockets I'm going to refrain from calling it a Pro
Thoughts: It's odd that with features like a chest strap and lower front handle that this bag is not great for travel. It just doesn't have the interior size if you plan on taking a trip for few days and use it as a carry on. This bag is certainly more vertical than horizontal and it cuts down on the number of things you can fit in to it. That being said, it is ideal for school/college. With a great number of pockets for electronics, books, and pens/pencils I would definitely recommend it to students.
Overall 3.5/5 I will give it a 4 because I do not think a bag with such high quality materials should be rated at a 3 star
Advice: Buy if you are a student not if you plan to travel a lot. DO NOT PURCHASE IF FEMALE OR MALE WITH SMALL SHOULDERS.
Other bags to look in to:
SwissGear Synergy: Lots of pockets, loved by (Thousands) of users, brilliant zippers, pen pocket has cover -.-, great padding, slightly more space, laptop. Old bag so no tablet holder or lumbar compartment, slightly dated (though fine) appearance. You can't go wrong with this bag (If I needed another I would purchase this)
Case Logic RBP 115: Very similar to BEBP-115 but more space in front pocket (open instead of vanishing pocket, lighter, smaller footprint). Design could be unappealing for some. Probably has same size and zipper shortcomings as BEBP-115
Samsonite Tectonic: Can't say much about this bag because I haven't gotten much hands-on time with it, but people seem to enjoy it and it looks very nice. Samsonite, like Swiss gear and Case Logic is a top class company.
Hope this helped! Will update if there is anything to add or change. If this review helped, please answer "yes" to if this review was helpful. Also, feel free to comment if you have any questions

A good backpack with lots of pockets, but I've had better
By Erik1988
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/RDKVWO0NQXZMB For the last three years I've been using Targus A7 Backpack Designed to Protect 16-Inch Widescreen Laptops TSB167US (Black), which has been a GREAT backpack (you can easily find my video review on the product page). I use the Targus when traveling and it's been perfect.
So three years later I get this backpack:
* As you can see in the video there are plenty of pockets
* Thought to supporting tablets and headphones was good planning on this design
* When I compare the padding, the Targus is far superior in both shoulder straps and the area around the laptop.
* In my video I missed another small pocket just below the main handle at the top. Big enough for loose change.
Overall this is a good backpack, but to pay $90 for a bit of padding I'm not so sure about.
Yes, the padding on the shoulder blade area and lumbar area keeps the laptop away from your body and can allow airflow between your back and pack. But for the price was hoping for something for more padding on the bottom or other "impact" areas.
Bssed on great reviews & price, some other alternatives you might want to check into:

perfect for my trusty laptop and more!
By Jason P. Pumphrey
This is the first backpack I've owned since high school (and that was over 20 years ago!).
This is a top notch backpack, as it has room for all HP laptop computer, and plenty of room for other "goodies" as well.
I've had some Case Logic camera cases, but this is my first backpack from them.
It's lightweight, sturdy and very well made.
Recommended!
